I Am a Writer

I am a writer and so are all of you. There is no secret to being a writer, because the magic with writing is that anyone can do it. There is no formula or special way of doing it. Basically what it comes down to is discovering your voice and getting it out on paper with a pen. So this is for all the writers, aspiring writers and those who feel the need write but just don't believe they can. Yes you can, so write.

I am a writer. My weapon is my pen and my ammunition is my words. I use my imagination to create characters and worlds, and take you places without the hassle of leaving your chair. I am the one who feeds your mind with wonder and inspiration, the one who can fuel your emotions and take you there, wherever your there may be. I am the one who dreams with eyes open and leave you thinking with your eyes closed. I bring you comfort in the dark and expose you in the light. I am the one who can put a smile on your face, bring tears to your eyes, provoke you and fuel your rage. I am the persuader and the charlatan, the magician and maestro, the one who can change your mind and lead you with the heard. I am the one who gives the silent majority a voice, who can uplift a modest soul, and spread the wings of those who live in shadows. I am the one who gives a voice to the misfits and misunderstood ones, the loners and estranged ones who have no say. I am the one who brings a wealth of knowledge and excitement, the one who with one word can bring you love or hate, peace or revolution. I am the creator and destroyer of inner and outer worlds. I wander among gods and goddesses, and get lost in myths and legends. I am the one who can bring life or death, darkness or light. I am a writer.
